Our process

At our studio, every set of dice we create is a labor of love, precision, and craftsmanship. Our process is long and intricate because we’re dedicated to delivering a product that’s truly special. Each step is done by hand to ensure your dice are not only functional but also works of art. While our designs are exclusive to us, ensuring that what you hold in your hands is as unique as your adventures. Here’s how we make the shiny math rocks you know and love:

Design

Our dice shapes are completely original, designed in-house. Using a custom-built script, we generate unique shapes exclusive to our brand, refining each design with precision in Blender. This ensures every set is distinct, standing apart from anything else on the market.

3D Printing

Once the designs are ready, we bring them to life using a resin 3D printer. While these prints are detailed, they’re not durable enough for final use. Instead, they serve as prototypes to create the moulds for our finished dice.

Refinement and Mould Casting

Because the 3D-printed dice are fragile, each piece undergoes meticulous sanding and polishing to achieve a smooth, shiny surface. These perfected prints are then used to create silicone moulds, which will shape the final product.

Mixing and casting

This step is where creativity meets craftsmanship. We hand-mix colours in resin to achieve the vibrant, custom hues that make our dice unique. The resin is poured into the moulds in a two-phase process, for nearly 100 hours of total curing time. This ensures strength, durability, and a flawless finish.

05.

Sanding and polishing

Once cured, each die is carefully removed from its mould and inspected for quality. Any flashings are trimmed, and the dice are hand-sanded to ensure a smooth surface. A final polish brings out their signature shine, making them ready for action.

Painting and cleaning

Finally, we paint the numbers for clarity and aesthetic appeal. Each die is then thoroughly cleaned to restore its glossy finish, ensuring they look as spectacular as they roll.
